Eclectic Elegance: Nina and Edward's Boca Grande Wedding

Zoe Gallina • Jan 13, 2022

Nature meets romance meets chinoiserie in this uniquely designed wedding of Nina Milbank and Edward Lord at the Gasparilla Inn and Club in Boca Grande, Florida on November 6, 2021.

Inspired by a Caspari wallpaper print, the design collaboration between Nina and Botanica’s Creative Director, Zoe Gallina, was one of wonder and awe. The process of incorporating a mix of styles and patterns was not an easy feat, but a delightful one nonetheless.

The bouncing of ideas off each other, creative feedback, and consistent tweaking lead to a look that was all their own…

and one that was simply spectacular !

Personal flowers consisted of romantic peonies for the women, with the addition of ranunculus for Nina and a modern single phalaenopsis orchid for the men.

Floral and design continued to develop depth and texture at the ceremony with assorted blue and white delphinium and tropical foliage. The complementing blue and white ginger jars added the perfect touch of whimsy and refinement.

After Nina and Edward said their I Do’s , guests retreated to the Pelican Lawn for cocktails followed by an exquisitely designed tent reception filled with Nina and Zoe’s vision of blending natural botanicals with delicate chinoiserie and bold hues.

Tuscan green linens were a beautiful base to bring in colorful Caspari charger plates (thanks to Nina’s step-mother’s design eye!), unique decor components, and playful paper elements.

What a fantastic experience this was for Botanica and an awe-inspiring design for future events to come! We thank Nina and Edward for this full production opportunity for their stunning wedding and wish them a lifetime of love and happiness.
